ABMA Menopause Congress: Association of Belgian Physician Acupuncturists

On October 10th, the Association of Belgian Medical Acupuncturists will hold its annual congress in Liège, centered on a single theme: menopause. The entire day revolves around one core question: how can conventional treatment be complemented by acupuncture, phytotherapy, and dietetics—moving beyond a collection of isolated techniques toward a cohesive, integrated approach?

The program follows the logical flow of a clinical consultation. It begins with understanding—examining the Western physiopathology of the menopausal transition alongside the perspective offered by Traditional Chinese Medicine. This is followed by an analysis of the comparative effectiveness of conventional treatments versus acupuncture. Only then does the focus shift to the techniques themselves: acupuncture, Tuina, electroacupuncture, and auriculotherapy. The afternoon session explores what we put on our plates and how we keep the body in motion, covering nutrition, Chinese dietetics, micronutrients, and Qigong.

The panel of speakers brings together expertise from gynecology, internal medicine, anesthesiology and pain management, radiotherapy, and dietetics—precisely the kind of multidisciplinary forum that Muchin values. We will be there, represented by our team, our energy, and our products!
