Om de twee jaar strijkt het World Traditional Medicine Forum neer in een andere stad. Deze editie komt naar Amsterdam, op een halfuur rijden van Antwerpen, en dat maakt het voor één keer heel eenvoudig om in twee dagen tijd zowat de volledige internationale TCG-praktijk aan je voorbij te zien komen.

Sprekers uit China, de Verenigde Staten, Australië, Japan, het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Brazilië en een rits Europese landen. Drie parallelle zalen. De rode draad is de klinische waarde van traditionele geneeskunde in de oncologische begeleiding, bij gynaecologische klachten en bij pijn.

Chief Physician ShaoMin Xue, co-founding mother van Muchin, spreekt op zaterdag in zaal New York 3 en geeft op zondagnamiddag een workshop van een uur in zaal New York 1. Haar onderwerp: de combinatie van acupunctuur en kruidenformules bij gewrichtsklachten volgens de vijf constituties en de bijhorende Zang Fu. Het is exact het werk waar de dertien Muchin-formules uit voortkomen, verteld door de vrouw die ze mee ontwikkeld heeft.

Het forum wordt georganiseerd door de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Acupunctuur en de ShenZhou Open University of TCM, waar ShaoMin lesgeeft, met Vereniging TCMned als co-organisator.

Keynote by Baoyan Liu (China) on a decade of clinical acupuncture research
A full track on traditional medicine in cancer care, from scalp acupuncture to supportive care after treatment, including results from the Dutch AcuChem trial on acupuncture during chemotherapy
A gynaecological track: health after menopause, diminished ovarian reserve, repeated implantation failure, menstrual disorders, TCM nutritional therapy in fertility questions
Pain and the musculoskeletal system: Dong acupuncture, the floating needle, moxibustion as vascular-targeted therapy, ear acupuncture
Diagnosis and theory: tongue diagnosis according to the Yin school, the relationship between the five tastes and the five Zang, the five-element model in cancer management
Hands-on workshops on Sunday afternoon, including ShaoMin Xue's
Culture Gala on Saturday evening

Who is it for?

Acupuncturists, TCM practitioners, physicians with additional acupuncture or TCM training, phytotherapists, researchers and teachers. The level is international and clinical. Working language is English.

Accreditation

Accredited for continuing education by the Dutch Acupuncture Association (NVA), Zhong (NVTCG) and Vereniging TCMned. For Belgian accreditation, contact the secretariat.

Dr. ShaoMin Xue holds a doctorate from the China Academy of Chinese Medicine Sciences and has been practising and teaching Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 25 years across Belgium, the Netherlands and China. As co-founding mother of Muchin, she translates millennia of Eastern wisdom into practical, evidence-informed tools for modern practitioners. Her perspective on the female life cycle through the lens of TCM is unlike anything you will hear in a conventional medical setting.
